Gents / Ladies
My Willy 3 idles at circa 900 rpm for the vast majority of the time, but if I give it some stick (in the nicest possible way, you understand!), it then "idles" at 1500 rpm at stays that way (when the rev counter decides to work, that is - still not traced that problem yet!)
Seems as though something is getting "stuck"
Anyone got any ideas ?
Cheers

I know exactly what this problem is. The ECU is not picking up the road speed sensor information. This is caused by one of two problems.

1. The speedo cable is broken / damaged / not fitted properly in the gearbox.
2. The speedo cable is not earthed properly at the dial end.

If you correct this the ECU will pick up the road speed sensor and drop the revs.

To check this is the problem, get it to idle high, switch off the engine and turn it on again. If it is the road speed sensor problem, the idle will now return to normal.
