The time has come to sell my Clio track car due to lack of use and other commitments. (I’ve only done 252 miles!!!)
I have only owned the car since December 2009 from a fellow Clio 16v forum member who I am still in contact with. He had owned it since early 2004. It was a fairly standard 16v and over time the car was transformed from a 16v to a fast road/track Williams Hybrid.
Spec:
1993 Clio 16v Shell

RR'd @ 180bhp ATFW when I bought the car but have since had a friend who owns a very well regarded tuning and rolling road company locally to remove the piggyback ECU and re-map the standard ECU for peace of mind and the fuelling is spot on all the way to 7k where the rev limiter is set (some people raise the limiter but this is a safe point to protect the longevity of the engine)
The car has had absolutely no expense spared (serviced every 3-4k) by both of the last 2 previous owners who are both Clio forum members and enthusiasts and you can tell by the way it drives.
It handles brilliantly and stops on a dime. Mileage is 105k, but as above the engine was rebuilt less than 5k ago so it really is a great little car. Two of the main things you would worry about on these Clio’s Gearboxes and Cam belts (with tensions done at the same time) have been carried out a short while ago 5k and 2k respectively have been rebuilt and changed and just gives you that extra piece of mind and you really can see by the way it drives.
The car is MOT’d until December 8th 2010 and Tax’d until 31st May 2010
I have tons and tons of receipts amounting to thousands spent over the years and will be sad to see it go.
I am looking for £2,400 but will happily consider sensible offers
