Hi All,

I need some help! I have just bought a Williams 2 and the previous owner has had a non-standard backbox fitted (3" round tail pipe, oval shape box, made from s/s) which is rather noisy!!

So noisy in fact that every time I drive the car its giving me Ear-ache (literally!)

Can someone advise what I can do to reduce the noise - Will replacing the back box with the standard exhaust make it much quieter?

I have looked around for the standard box, but I am confused because several sites give out different information regarding part numbers etc....

Please Help!

Iirc correctly a new exhaust from Renault will be in the region of 400, ask Mat Brown if he has a complete used one im sure thatll do the trick at a fraction of the cost

Yes a standard exhaust is quiet
A scorpion exhaust is also quiet

If you like a quiet exhaust i would fit a standard exhaust. There are aftermarket ones that are half the price (boesel, walker etc) but they tend not to fit quite so well, but are pretty much identical to look at.
