Set of to Uncle Mats about 09:30 arrived there hassle free and met the man behind the MSN mask, both Mat and his brother tried to get every penny i own out of me lol.

Picked up my subframe which was kindly cleaned for me and my rear Bilsteins, managed to persuade mat to part with his new Renault wishbones and a few other small bits n bobs.

After this we went a collected the maltese falcon from the garage, i wanted mat to drive wilma to see what he thought might be wrong with my brakes, handling and steering.
The outcome seemed to be that the steering was ok, my existing wishbones more than likely at fault for my tranlining and vagueness issues, rear brakes are a problem to, the discs and pads fitted for the mot about 6 months ago ish are all but shot highlighting the bias valve for which i have a replacement to fit.

Now it was time for the journey home took one wrong turn that sent me 10 miles the wrong wat but hey ho, but my car was making a right racket from the back which im putting down to the weight of the subframe and other bits n bobs in the boot putting more pressure to the rear brakes via the bias valve.

3 hours later after i get home i was glad to stop as i was getting deafened thinking something was gonna fall off or snap.

Thanks for a great day Mat, was nice to meet you and your brother and the mrs.

Your place is a tardis.

Right started stripping the nearside down today everythings come off ok so far apart from whats left of the bearing inner thats stuck to the stub axle.
Quick question, just looked at my bias valve and there was about an inch of freeplay between the threaded adjuster and the arm of the valve, can anyone tell me or show me a picture of how it should look with the car jacked up? Coz i believe this valve to be the root of all my evil at the moment.

As she stood this morning.

Wheel off

Disc off

Disc from nearside and inner pad from offside

Bilsteins Fitted

Off to B&Q in a bit to buy some smooth hammerite and some brushes and wire wheel drill attachments, might as well tidy it up a bit, off next week so no real rush.

No point putting those back on the car. Get new stuff or it will just jam again.
