I am on holiday now for 2 weeks so i am having a go at removing some rust and sorting the trim out.

I am not mechanically gifted so could someone tell me how you go about removing the plastic trim panels down the side of the car?

Also, how do you remove the bumpers, is there just bolts underneath?

Cheers everyone Smiley

The bump strips slide forwards on the clips. You have to carefully push them forwards then they just fall off. The one on the door has a screw on the inside back edge of the door (its a torx). Take your time, they will go eventually.

The fron wing undoes like this:

Remove the bumper:
Two bolt underneath the front that also hald on the splash shields (pull these free).
One bolt under the number plate (have to remove the number plate)
Two bolts on the inside of the front wing. You can get them by reaching round the front tyre with a spanner.

All bolts are 10mm

To remove the wing:
Unbolt the front 10mm that was under the bumper.
The 4 10 mm along the top of the wing. One is under the scuttle panel cover, and you might need to loosen this to remove the 4th one.
A 10 mm bolt at the bottom holding it onto the sill
And a tor screw on the inside edge facing forwards just up from the bottom 10mm bolt.
Also another torx screw on the front inside edge holding the splash shield to the wing.

All tors are t25

The wing will them fall off. If it hasnt been off before it may be held on with sticky stuff. Just carefull pull it off.

The process is easier if you remove the road wheel first, but if you are handy with the spanners you dont need to.
