Hi everyone

Thought i would ask for some different views on this.

When i first start the willy up and drive down the road the car seems to 'jerk' forward, on and off.  Seems to stop when the engine is warmed up though.

Thought it might be something to do with the lambda sensor, what ever its called?

Anyone got any other ideas what might be causing the problem?

Cheers

Iain

May also be a plug/coil lead braking down or a plug itself, perhaps the distributor cap also might be worth looking at, dont know if its the same with newer cars but the older style ignition systems quite often would develope a fault when cold that would cure itself when warmed up and visa versa

If you were coming up to a speed bump and slowing down, does the car want to pull forwards making it hard to keep it in a highish gear at low ish speeds? Resulting in a lurching forwards and necessitate the use of the clutch?

Or is it more of a general jumping under acceleration?
